Measured
Building Surveys
SERVICES
Measured building surveys capture accurate existing building information, including floor plans, elevations, sections, structural elements, openings, floor levels, ceiling heights, roof details and key architectural features. This provides a reliable base for design, renovation, planning, conservation, fit-out and construction coordination.
At AltiGeo, we use 3D LiDAR scanning with Leica RTC360 and Leica BLK360 scanners to capture detailed internal and external building data. Black and white survey targets are used for geolocation and control. Survey nails are planted in the ground to provide fixed reference points, allowing building contractors and design teams to set out or re establish survey control once the project is on site.
Drone survey data is used to generate a georeferenced aerial pointcloud for areas that are difficult or unsafe to capture from ground-based LiDAR, such as roofs, upper façades and wider site context. This aerial dataset is then registered and coordinated with the terrestrial LiDAR pointcloud to create a complete survey dataset to produce CAD, BIM and other measured survey deliverables.
